The teams of Start Engineering JSC, along with partner companies, has successfully executed a project on construction of 35 automatic railway crossing devices on the territory of the entire country. For the period from September 2012 to the end of May 2013, together with our partners, we successfully constructed and commissioned crossings of NRIC.
The executed project has no analog at international level in terms of complexity – for each one of the railway crossings an innovative equipment, commissioned for the first time on the territory of Bulgaria is foreseen. The newly constructed crossings are situated at different locations throughout the whole country, while 9 of them are in the Northeastern railway network, 9 of them are in the Southern, 8 in the Northwestern and Central and 9 in the Northern railway network.
The construction project includes the execution of complete engineering – from the preparation of final designs, delivery of cables and equipment, execution of excavation works and construction of new platforms and foundations. A cabin for equipment between train stations, light signals, barrier mechanisms and electric power supplying equipment are also installed within the scope of the project, and dismantling of the old equipment, installation and adjustment of new facilities, as well as testing and commissioning of Automatic Crossing Device has been performed.
A key moment during the implementation of the project is the delivery, installation and commissioning of a specialized equipment. This part of the project is executed by specialists of Start Engineering JSC.
Products of Thales Austria have been used during the introduction, some of which are:
- • 152 axes counters with a decentralized system, type Field Trac 6316 LS, with one slot, sensor cable length – 3 meters, with protective cable jacket for each sensor cable, 110V power supply, communication up to 2 000 meters, without supporting foundation;
- • 90 000 signal cable, type A-2Y(L)2YBY 3×4×1.4, fitted for operation with the specialized equipment.
A high-quality instrumentation equipment of Frauscher is also used during the execution of the project, while an innovative equipment, commissioned for the first time on the territory of Bulgaria is foreseen for each of the railway crossings, is what they comment from Start Engineering JSC. Some examples in this relation are sensors of the RSR180/S-250 Gs03 type, modules SK140 for busbar installation, contact measuring modules for automatic counting of the IMC001 GS03, SIC006 GS01 and ACB119 Gs04 type.
The teams of Start Engineering JSC, participated in the project, were highly estimated for their successful performance and their professionalism, strengthening the stable partnership and contractual relations with NRIC. We have completed dozens of mutual successful projects concerning the rehabilitation and construction of the national railway network.
